
Junior/Medior Software Engineer

As our Software Engineer, you will help us overseeing and monitoring our day-to-day business processes, suggesting improvements to them and come up with ideas on how to automate and reduce repetitive operational tasks. You will also help us create a more tech-driven culture at NN by being an ambassador and helping our teams embrace our new way of working, which marries client centricity with state-of-the-art software.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Taking care of day-to-day operational processes
- Closely collaborating with your team to learn, challenge, improve and automate operational processes
- Working closely with other engineers of the department to learn about our application landscape

Wat je meebrengt
Experienced in building quality software, you are a real team player and are not afraid to speak your mind. When it comes to GIT, pipelines, package management and unit/integration testing, you speak the same language as our engineers. Furthermore, you have:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in backend software development in Node.js/JavaScript/Typescript or Java/SpringBoot
- Good knowledge on integration technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
- Basic knowledge on cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Basic knowledge of Serverless/Cloud Native
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps
- Basic knowledge on observability/log aggregation tools (Stackstate, Splunk, Dynatrace)
- Good analytic and debugging skills

You will work in a multidisciplinary team within Savings, Investments and Bank Assurance with specialists such as Internal Control, Product Managers, Functional Administrators and IT people. In this multidisciplinary team you work on products which will make a difference for our customers now and in the future. You take into account the interests and wishes of our customers, partners and the NN Bank strategy. The teams within the Safe & Reliable Products domain ensure that the business continues to run, are responsible for implementing new laws and regulations and are characterized by their in-depth expertise.
